It all started with the entrepreneurial vision of founder Oswaldo Perrone. One of the pioneers of citriculture in the municipality of Bebedouro, in the interior of the state of São Paulo.

Mr. Oswaldo Perrone started growing oranges in the Barretos region, also in the interior of the state of São Paulo.

Taking advantage of the expansion and incentives, he started growing sugarcane at Estancia Monte Alegre.

It started cattle raising with a variety of breeds, but on a larger scale with the Nellore breed, at Estância Monte Alegre. New crops were also implanted on the farm, gaining commercial scale in both agriculture and livestock.

One of Oswaldo's grandsons, André Luiz Perrone dos Reis, upon completing his specialization in livestock at the University of Texas, returned to Brazil with the mission of applying his knowledge and passion for agribusiness in our country.

The Company Agropecuária Monte Alegre is certified by Eurepgap and, with the use of confinement as an intensification of the production system, cattle ranchers in the region turned their eyes to the CMA.

In search of new markets, the confinement of Estância Monte Alegre was enabled by the traces list (SISBOV), thus starting to contribute to the export of meat to the European Union.

So the expansions continued, the confinement of the CMA started to have a static capacity of 7,000 heads, as well as partnerships that were emerging and consolidating with the history of the CMA.
